Friends
We have just
enjoyed a visit from the SIM East Andes Director and his wife, Eldon and
Becky Porter. We are so privileged to have such godly and dedicated leaders
in the mission! We really enjoyed spending a little bit of time with these
special friends.
God's
answers to your prayers:
- We
asked you to pray about the team of doctors - well we had a last minute
panic in getting the medicines through customs. The morning before the
team arrived we were told that the ministry of health was not going
to approve the medicine because we could not give them an original list
of the medicines. The list we had was a Faxed one and the original was
on the plane with the medicines. Some frantic phones calls and God gave
us favor in the eyes of the officials - the last paper was presented
to the custom 10 minutes before the plane landed! The head of customs
is new and very helpful!
- The
team of doctors saw about 1260 people in the 4 days of treatment! Dave,
Dan, Tom, Lindsay and Becky (all SIM missionaries) helped with translations
while the SIM host of the team, David Im, took care of patient registration
and all the logistics of the trip. We praise the Lord for the service
rendered and pray that He will use it to open the eyes of the people
to His love and His plan of salvation.

- Pray
for encouragement to excel. Home School is in full swing again. The
weather has been hot again and emotional energies can get drained. Pray
that we will keep a fresh perspective on our lives and ministries here,
as we serve the Lord in school, home making, friendships, administration,
preaching and evangelism.
- Pray
that we will increasingly be dependent and dedicated to serve the King
with all our hearts and souls and minds. Without that our ministry is
of no consequence.
Thank you
for working with us in prayer, and for so many who faithfully make if
possible for us to continue by your financial gifts to our lives.
